It’s great to see that in addition to learning and acquiring life skills in war, schoolchildren and kindergarteners are involved in charitable activities. 🤝 Sharing what you have, warming your neighbour with your care, not being indifferent to someone else’s misfortune – this is what teachers teach, including through participation in projects such as Good Night. 🕊️ And almost every school holds collections of either essentials for the military or IDPs, charity events (fairs, concerts), the proceeds of which are donated to the needs of the army and temporarily displaced persons.

Thank you very much for your feedback and we invite educational institutions all over Ukraine to participate in collecting books for their peers who have left their homes because of the war. 🙌

Since 2022, The Educational Initiatives Foundation has been successfully implementing the Goodnight 🌟 project, which aims to provide Ukrainian language books 📖 to Ukrainians abroad. However, we also respond to requests in Ukraine from regions where there is an urgent need for Ukrainian books 📚. These are the towns that were under occupation 💔, where the enemy destroyed everything Ukrainian, including books 🔥, where libraries were damaged by shelling.

On 25 November, the Shostka Central City Library received 100 books 📚 from The Educational Initiatives Foundation. Despite the fact that Shostka is regularly attacked by shahids and rockets, people from towns and villages from the border of Sumy region, which is undergoing devastating shelling, are evacuated here. And no less than protection from weapons 🛡, they need books in Ukrainian 📖. That is why we have transferred here some of the books collected in the project 🤝.

On 22 November, an interesting and inspiring tour of the classrooms of American University of Kyiv was held for students and teachers – participants of the final of the All-Ukrainian competition in modelling “smart” devices “STEAM House” 2024

On 22 November, students and teachers participating in the final of the All-Ukrainian competition for modelling smart devices “STEAM House” 2024 had an interesting and inspiring tour of the classrooms of American University Kyiv, which is the official partner in Ukraine of Arizona State University (ASU), which has been repeatedly recognised as the first in the United States in terms of innovation and global influence.

The STEAM guests of the University learned more about the possibilities of technological and business educational programmes of the university, the IT laboratory and library, the specifics of admission and some extraordinary facts about the history of AUK.

At the end of the event, an incredible surprise awaited the educators – a meeting with NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration Astronaut Terry Virts and his fascinating story about his journey in space.

We would like to thank our friends, university professors Alexandra Antoniouk and Viktor Putrenko, for their attention to STEM guests from the Educational Initiatives Foundation.

We will definitely continue to introduce the STEM community to the best technological universities in the country.
We wish the children participating in the STEAM House competition the right choice of university to continue their journey to new incredible scientific discoveries and engineering achievements in their adult lives.

The Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry / Kyiv CCI joined the Goodnight project!

Our partners from the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry enthusiastically supported the collection of books for children! The Chamber’s activities are aimed at establishing business contacts between Ukrainian and foreign organisations, launching new forms of cooperation, involving Ukrainian business in international programmes, business missions, conferences, and includes a full range of measures aimed at ensuring that Ukrainian business takes its rightful place in international economic circles.

This is an extremely important and painstaking activity, yet the Goodnight charity project has found a response in the hearts of Chamber employees and members. Sharing a book is a simple action that has a huge impact. We welcome both individual donors and large donors to the Goodnight project. Each book is a whole world for a child. And for an adult, it is the invisible thread that connects them to their homeland. We sincerely thank the team and members of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry who shared books for children and adults!
