On 8 November, Nadiya Omelchenko, founder of the Educational Initiatives Foundation, and Ksenia Zakharchenko, Head of IT ESG Hub, took part in the First All-Ukrainian Mayors Summit organised by the Mayors Club in cooperation with Economy of Trust Ukraine, IRS, the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine, and UNDP Ukraine.
The event was aimed at preparing and accumulating projects of communities and community businesses aimed at the economic development of Ukraine through building effective cooperation between local governments and businesses and public-private partnerships.
The summit was attended by more than 200 heads of Ukrainian communities, MPs and government officials, representatives of business, international organisations and foundations, foreign embassies, architectural companies, educational institutions, Ukrainian and international associations, and regional development agencies, who took part in pitch sessions where communities and businesses worked on live presentations of their projects for future trade missions.
The summit also included an architectural and design laboratory for the restoration of Ukraine, during which the winners of the 100 Ideas for Cities hackathon were determined.
