On December 15, the Educational Initiatives Fund and Hearts for Ukraine (USA) donated mobile servers and equipment kits for creating and storing high-quality educational content in any conditions to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Each kit consists of a powerful and fast laptop (Intel Core i7-11 / 32 GB RAM / 2 TB SSD), power bank, portable lighting, and microphone. Mobile servers are provided to educational hubs in 10 regions of Ukraine: Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, and Zhytomyr.
As Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet said: "Local communities in frontline areas, as well as those accepting displaced persons, are creating educational hubs for children and adults. They can receive psychological and emotional support, learn new professions and skills that will help them find work or start their own business. A system of career guidance has also been introduced for students."
Nadiia Omelchenko, founder of the Educational Initiatives Fund and vice president of IT Integrator, expressed her readiness to support educational projects and initiatives together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, as well as to continue providing assistance to the military and humanitarian aid to the population.
Eugene Tarasov, founder of the Hearts for Ukraine Foundation, said: "This terrible war in Ukraine has limited the important rights of children and adults to education and development. Our team has been doing everything possible since the first day of the war to ensure that every person in Ukraine has freedom of education and security. We really want these server laptops to help launch a new educational format in educational centers, in conditions when many schools have been destroyed. We hope to see their effectiveness in action."
Anton Dziuba, Chairman of the Board of the Educational Initiatives Fund, commented: "We hope that modern, powerful equipment will allow teachers at educational centers to work quickly, regardless of their location, and provide high-quality educational content to their students."
